He says it’s harder to come back to the UFC than it was to get there the first time. However, it seems that one of the Czech fighters has made it. Apparently, Lucie Pudilova is returning to the best organization.
Lucie Pudilova was the first ever Czech female fighter in the UFC. In the best MMA organization in the world, she managed seven fights between 2017 and 2020. Although with an unfavorable record of 2::5, the management did not spare her at all.
Pudilova was giving good and attractive performances, however, she was getting tough opponents. She faced Antonina Shevchenko, Liz Carmouche and Irene Aldana.
Moreover, it was in the fight against Carmouche that she introduced herself to the fans on home soil, as the UFC was holding its first tournament in Prague, specifically in the O2 Arena in Prague.
After her stint in the UFC, Pudilova signed with the Octagon. First she jumped into the Oktagon Underground tournament, where she fell short to Tereza Bleda, who will fight for a UFC contract in September, then she had 6 fights, of which she lost only one.
Moreover, she has been training for some time under the guidance of John Kavanagh, a famous and star coach who trains for example Conor McGregor. In addition, at the end of the week, she announced a partnership with SuckerPunch Entertainment.
It was the latter that announced Saturday afternoon that Pudilova would be returning to the UFC. Although we are still waiting for an official announcement from the Czech fighter, even foreign journalists are already taking it as a sure thing.
