Great debut! Lingr for the first time in a Feyenoord jersey, he needed only 7 minutes to enter his first stats

Ondřej Lingr got an attractive transfer abroad during the summer and traded Prague Slavia for Dutch Feyenoord Rotterdam. However, he had to wait a while for his debut. But on Sunday he did and immediately made his mark in the statistics.

In 2020, he left Karviná for a better place. Back then, Ondřej Lingr left the Silesian team as a great talent with interesting potential. Prague Slavia wanted him very much. His performances in the Sešice jersey showed why that was the case.

However, there was one big problem. Lingr was able to referee important matches, he scored important goals, but he never became a key player with the confidence of the starting line-up. For Jindřich Trpišovský, however, he was very important.

That’s why there was a lot of speculation this year whether Slavia would let him go to another address. He doesn’t have a similar player in his squad. Feyenoord, however, acquired him on loan with a mandatory option. They will pay about 100 million crowns per year for him.

Lingr, however, had to wait a while for his debut. On Sunday afternoon, however, he got his first taste of the green grass in the Dutch Eredivisie at Utrecht.

He appeared in the jersey of the reigning Dutch champions in the 85th minute, and it didn’t take long for him to make his mark on the statsheet when a successful pass behind the defence found Yankuba Minteh, who increased the score to 5-1 in the second minute of stoppage time.

Former Sparta player Dávid Hancko, who was a key figure in the title chase, also played for Feyenoord. The Slovak defender was expected to be transferred to one of the top five leagues in Europe, but stayed in the Netherlands. Hancko also scored an assist in the match.

It is worth mentioning that Lingr made 138 competitive starts for Slavia with 40 goals and 11 assists. He has also played six games for the national team.
