On the footballing side, Jack Grealish had a great Wednesday night. Although he did not enter the goal scoring stats this time, his team won against Everton 3-1 and recorded the all-important three points in the Premier League table.
But he certainly wasn’t so happy when he returned home. Grealish had become one of the victims who had been robbed while attending a football match.
In the past, the same thing has happened to several players, whether it was Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling or Matteo Guendouzi. As reported by British newspaper The Sun, the thieving gang reportedly knew full well that Grealish would be away from home at the time. They could have planned their attack perfectly.
Unfortunately, his house was not empty after all. Ten of his relatives were watching the Manchester City v Everton game on TV.
The thieves stole over £1 million worth of Grealish’s possessions, most often taking watches and jewellery. Persons in the house only noticed this coordinated attack when the couple’s dogs began barking and indicating that someone was in the house.
Fortunately, no one was injured. Needless to say, the midfielder along with his girlfriend, influencer Sasha Atwood, bought the house last year.
He didn’t actually move in until shortly before Christmas. Wednesday night was the first visit to the house for many of his relatives.
