Good news for the Walk! He will not fight Teixeira in Brazil, but in the USA

It’s more or less 100% now. Jiri Prochazka will face Glover Teixeira for the welterweight title at UFC 274. The event was originally supposed to take place in Brazil, where the defending champion was supposed to have a home environment, but it won’t happen after all.

It’s more or less 100% now. Jiri Prochazka will face Glover Teixeira for the welterweight title at UFC 274. The event was originally supposed to take place in Brazil, where the defending champion was supposed to have a home environment, but it won’t happen after all.

Jiri Prochazka is preparing to fight Glover Teixeira for the UFC welterweight title. He’ll be the first fighter from the Czech Republic to ever make it this far.

A minor inconvenience may have been the fact that UFC 274, where Procházka and Teixeira are scheduled to fight, was supposed to take place in the Brazilian capital of Rio de Janeiro.

Brazil is famous for its specific environment. First of all, the climate has a big influence, which is important to acclimatize to in advance, but secondly, Brazil has passionate fans who can create a truly hateful atmosphere.

Of course, the Moravian fighter has experienced a lot in his career, it probably wouldn’t upset him that much, but it would definitely put him at a disadvantage. But that seems to be falling.

“UFC 274 was scheduled for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but according to the latest information, the event is being moved to the US. The exact location is not yet known. Thefights are not changing, only the venue,” reports journalist Nolan King, who picked up the information from Brazilian media outlet Combate.

Besides Procházka, this is also good news for his fans, who don’t have to worry so much about their safety if they attend the biggest fight in the history of Czech MMA.
