Glen Kamara’s lawyer took another opportunity to raise his profile. He accused the Spartan kids of racism
It looks as if Glen Kamara’s lawyer Aamer Anwar is taking every opportunity to make himself at least a little bit more visible. This man actively fights to eradicate racism, but he also looks for racism where there is none. Just like in the Sparta-Rangers game.
It looks as if Glen Kamara’s lawyer Aamer Anwar is taking every opportunity to make himself at least a little bit more visible. This man actively fights to eradicate racism, but he also looks for racism where there is none. Like the Sparta-Rangers game.
Rangers players are very unpopular in the Czech Republic, so the Sparta-Rangers game was certainly one of the riskier ones. The closure of the Spartan stands promised a smooth game.
Sparta took advantage of the ban on fans entering the stadium to invite Spartan children under the age of 14, which was approved by UEFA itself.
However, the hatred for Kamara in particular was transferred to the children. They booed every time Kamara touched the ball, which was not lost on the footballer’s lawyer Aamer Anwar.
“I had hoped that closing the stadium to Spartan fans for racist insults and inviting ten thousand children would mean that Glen Kamara and other black Rangers players would no longer have to face racism. This was not the case tonight as the children continued this disgraceful behaviour,” Kamara’s lawyer shared on Twitter.
There is nothing to do here but smile at the message from Kamara’s lawyer. Anwar has simply taken another opportunity to make himself visible.
Glen Kamara is simply a hated person in the Czech Republic and the colour of his skin certainly plays no role in this regard. The booing was not an expression of racism, but a reaction to the events of the Rangers – Slavia match.
