Finnish defensive midfielder Glen Kamara will finally be a member of the Finnish national team at this year’s European Championship. In any case, there are other well-known names on the Finnish roster.

Glen Kamara, who is known to Czech fans especially since his feud with Slavic defender Ondrej Kudel, will represent Finland at this year’s European Championship.

The three-match penalty that the 25-year-old received for the situation with Kúdela does not apply to the international field, but only to the club level. In contrast, the punishment for the Slavic stopper is, as we all know today, much higher and stricter.

However, his nomination is not surprising from a sporting point of view, as he has played several very solid games for Glasgow Rangers this season, although his statistics may not match it.

For the Scottish champions, who it must be noted have outplayed absolutely everything in their domestic competition, the Finnish international has played a total of 51 games across all competitions.

However, he only managed to score twice, assisted two other goals and collected five yellow cards. Nevertheless, the Finns will face a very tough group at the Euro – Denmark, Russia and especially Belgium are very unpleasant opponents.

Apart from Kamara, however, there are other well-known names on the Finnish national team roster. Lukas Hradecky, who is currently playing for Leverkusen in Germany, will cover the Finnish backline. The elite Finnish sniper Teemu Pukki, who is currently playing for Norwich, will of course not be missing in the attack.

Fans will also be familiar with Joel Pohjanpal from Union Berlin, and Marcus Forss, who is now wearing the jersey of Premier League newcomer Brentford.
