Getafe vs. Celta Vigo: Preview and betting tips
The 10th round of La Liga will feature two struggling clubs. Getafe are at home to Celta Vigo, both clubs are in the bottom third of the table. What to expect from the match?
Getafe’s start to the new season has not gone well at all. If it wasn’t for the two draws in the last two rounds, it would be at zero points. As it is, they are five points behind the last place for salvation.
Celta, however, are not much better off. Gone are the days of playing European cups, now it is glad that with seven points it is not in the last three of the table. It has a two-point lead on eighteenth-placed Levante, so it must work hard on Monday.
Sandro Ramírez is the home side’s top scorer, but the former Everton or Sevilla player has only scored two goals so far. Barcelona’s Carles Aleñá has two assists.
Meanwhile, Spanish international Iago Aspas is finding his form at Celta, the mainstay of the team has only scored two goals and assisted once. Twenty-five-year-old striker Santi Mina has two goals and three assists.
Getafe has a terrible offensive record in the first nine rounds scoring only three goals.
Despite the poor results, Celta can rely on its defensive performance, scoring only twice in its last four games.
Given the form of the visitors’ defence, I don’t think Celta will lose.
