German police have declared England’s match with Serbia a high-risk game and are putting measures in place. Better smoke weed, urges fans
The European Football Championships are understandably of great interest. In addition to the matches themselves, fans will also get a great programme, either directly at the stadium or in the adjacent fanzones. However, the EURO will also be subject to strict measures. One such measure is already in the pipeline for England’s match against Serbia.

Serbia versus England, a match that has been declared very risky in recent hours. The German police are very worried about Sunday’s Euro football match and so they have resorted to a precautionary measure, which is not exactly appreciated by the fans.
Needless to say, the group match between Serbia and England, which will take place at the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, will kick off at 21:00.
As the British newspaper The Mirror explains, the fans will not be having a classic German beer. Instead, only low-alcohol beer will be sold at the Schalke stadium. The reason for this is quite clear – to prevent potential trouble and violence.
The German police have reportedly already received information that the Serbs will not defend the clash with the English. The English fans will be able to enjoy the “real” beer during the match against Denmark, which is not considered risky.
And the German police are urging fans of both camps to smoke marijuana instead of consuming alcohol. Germany has very benevolent laws with regard to its use, an adult can carry up to 25 grams for personal use.
“We won’t have a problem with fans smoking marijuana. If we see two groups of people, one of which is intoxicated and mildly aggressive, while the other smokes, we will be more concerned about the alcohol group. That’s where the potential for aggressive behavior is. Marijuana is more of a calming drug,” explained police spokesman Stephan Knipp.
“We take such preventive steps to avoid violence. That’s why we targeted fans who might get drunk and chose the safe option,” he added.
