Gambia vs. Tunisia: Preview and betting tips
Tunisia will conclude their African Cup of Nations group stage journey with a match against underrated Gambia. Unexpectedly, it will go into the match from an inferior position and should win if it wants to be assured of progression.

The Gambia are one of the pleasant surprises of the tournament, topping their table after two rounds of the group stage and only needing to not lose in their last game to secure progression. It has four points from a 1-0 win over Mauritania and a 1-1 draw with Mali.
Tunisia, on the other hand, is looking for relegation in what is on paper a very easy group. Although it crushed Mauritania 4-0, it lost 0-1 to Mali and must win on Thursday if it wants to challenge for first place and a better position for the play-offs.
Musa Barrow, who plays in Serie A, was involved in both of Gambia’s goals in the tournament. The speedy winger assisted in the first leg and converted a penalty in the 90th minute in the second. In defence, the burly Omar Colley of Sampdoria Genoa is on a rampage.
Wahbi Khazri did well in the second game of the group stage, with Tunisia’s biggest star scoring two goals and assisting once. The spearhead striker Seifeddine Jaziri enjoyed one accurate shot.
The Gambia, like many selections at the tournament, have struggled in attack, scoring more than one goal in only one of their last eight matches.
In contrast, Tunisia’s long-term performances confirm that the AFCON first-round explosion was a fluke. After all, Tunisia has scored at least two goals in five of its last eight matches.
Given Tunisia’s excellent attack, I recommend betting on them to win.
