Fulham can secure a return to the Premier League on Monday, but they must beat Preston. The first team has lost its last two games, but plans to take advantage of the third. What to expect from the game and what to bet on?
Fulham, as if not wanting to definitely secure promotion back to the Premier League, have lost the last two rounds. Nevertheless, they are first in the table by eleven points and if they win on Tuesday, they will already have a definite certainty.
Preston are thirteenth in the table, yet theoretically they can still think about the sixth place guaranteeing the play-offs, as the middle of the league is very even. They are seven points behind sixth-placed Sheffield with four rounds to go.
Serbian playmaker Aleksandar Mitrovic has been unstoppable this season, he has netted thirty-eight times and added seven assists. Summer signing Harry Wilson is the court assistant, the Welsh midfielder boasts a record of 11+16.
In the away jersey, it’s Emile Riis who is firing, the Danish international has netted seventeen goals and assisted four times. The talented forward Cameron Archer has fourteen goals and two assists.
Fulham has sovereignly the best attack of the league, scoring ninety-five goals in forty-one rounds, the second best team (Bournemouth) has scored sixty-five times.
On the other hand, Preston’s defence has performed excellently since the March break, scoring only three times in four rounds.
Considering the Mitrovic factor and the motivation to secure promotion, I think Fulham will win and score at least two goals.
