A poor Thursday football schedule will offer a London derby in the Premier League. A spirited Fulham will challenge a struggling Chelsea, which is worse off in the table. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?

Fulham have had an excellent start to the post-Christmas campaign, winning all four of their games, namely three league games and one in the FA Cup. They are seventh in the table, only a point behind sixth placed Liverpool and five points behind fifth placed Tottenham.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are in an incredible crisis under Graham Potter. It has won only one of its last seven fierce games, on the other hand, three of them against Manchester City. It is in tenth place and three points off the top six.

Fulham’s key figures

On the away side, long-time mainstay Aleksandar Mitrovic shines, the Serbian striker has scored on 11 occasions and assisted twice. Portuguese midfielder and summer signing from Sporting, Joao Palhinha, scored three goals in addition to some great defensive work.

Chelsea’s key figures

Chelsea have been plagued by a large number of injuries, at least England international midfielder Mason Mount, author of three goals and six assists, is back. German offensive all-rounder Kai Havertz netted five times and assisted once.

What to expect and what to bet on?

Fulham score a lot of goals, but they also concede quite often. With 27 shots in its nets, it has the second-worst defense in the Top 12 of the Premier League. On the other hand, it has scored at least twice in three of its last four games.

Chelsea, on the other hand, has the worst offense in the TOP 14 with 20 goals scored, but Mount has recovered and will be ready for the offensive reinforcement from Norwegian Molde Datr Fofana. The potential is definitely there.

Considering the home team’s offensive momentum, Mitrovic’s phase and the return of Mount, and Fulham’s long-term mediocre defensive performance, I think both teams will assert themselves in the game.
