Unfortunately, women’s football still doesn’t get as much attention here as it does in Western Europe. However, hopefully this will change soon. Especially as our female footballers are leaving for the real big clubs.
For example, Andrea Staskova traded Juventus for Atlético Madrid this summer. Barbora Votíková left Slavia for PSG a year ago. Karolína Svitková left West Ham for Chelsea, who won the Women’s Premier League.
And now Moravian football can boast two stars in the famous Italian big club. AC Milan has brought twins Kamila and Michaela Dubcova to its squad.
Kamila will most likely be one of the key players, after all, until now she has worked at Sassuolo and was not only one of the best midfielders, but also one of the best players in the Italian top competition.
Michaela has also worked in Italy in the past, having spent a year at Sassuolo as well. However, she played last season in the jersey of Slovácko, where she was the team’s top scorer.
This is an excellent achievement. It is quite possible that the more similar transfers there are, the more will be written about women’s football in our country, which could only raise its level and popularity.
