The now twenty-two year old Maksym Talovjerov is well known to Czech fans. He started in the Czech Republic in February 2019 when he came to Ceske Budejovice from Olimpik Donetsk.
After half a year, he caught the attention of Sparta scouts and they loaned him out on loan. The Ukrainian midfielder performed well and there was even talk of buying him, but he eventually returned to Dynamo, where he started playing in the first league.
After another year and a half he was bought by Slavia, but it wasn’t the same there, he played more in the midfield and when he didn’t shine in Liberec either, he went on loan to LASK Linz. There he started to do well again and thanks to that he earned a nomination to the U21 national team.
He is currently at the Euro with Ukraine and thanks to two wins over Croatia and Romania he is sure to qualify from the group. Talovjerov played both full games and left a good impression. He must be doubly pleased, as Bundesliga scouts were at the games.
According to the Ukrainian website Sport, the scouts were at the game for him as well. In particular, Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen, where the Czech goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka plays, are interested in him.
Slavia might be willing to sell him, after all, they don’t need him at the moment and why not sell a player who is doing well at a time when he could fetch a decent price. Besides, he has a contract at the club until 2026.
However, according to Sport, both German clubs want to bring Talovjerov on loan with an option to transfer, which is the model currently used mainly by Sparta Prague. Slavia did the same with Moses Usor, who is also at Linz, who can buy him out in the winter.
