Frankfurt open the German Bundesliga after the national break, welcoming Bochum at home. What to expect and what to bet on when the teams from different parts of the table meet?

Frankfurt didn’t do too well after dropping out of the Champions League, but the national break has put a thick line behind everything and the club will focus on fighting for the TOP 4. Currently, they are six points behind the sixth place, so they need to win.

Bochum, for a change, decided in March that they will definitely not go down without a fight. Two wins took them out of the bottom three of the Bundesliga. It has a four-point lead on the barrage from 14th place and the same cushion for direct relegation.

Frankfurt’s key figures

Daichi Kamada is having the season of his life, with the Japanese offensive midfielder boasting a 13+5 record. Randal Kolo Muani is a steady member of the French national team, with the top striker netting 16 goals and assisting 14.

Key figures for Bochum

The visitors rely on the productivity of Philipp Hofmann, with the German point forward scoring eight times and assisting three times.

Austrian offensive midfielder Kevin Stöger split the net three times and added one goal assist.

Frankfurt relies on a goal-scoring attack, with 46 shots it has the fourth-best in the Bundesliga. It’s doubly hot at home, scoring more than once in five of its last eight games on home soil.

Buchum clearly has the worst defensive record of the league, conceding 56 goals overall, an average of 2.2 shots per round. It has scored more than once in eight of its last ten games.

Given Frankfurt’s home strength and the massive fan support that comes with it, the favorite can be expected to handle the match victoriously. Bochum’s long-standing defensive dysfunction also plays into this.
