Frankfurt captain shows off how his head looks after contact with Rangers player’s pins

An unpleasant reminder for Czech football fans. Already in the fifth minute of the final Europa League match, one of the Rangers players was hit hard. John Lundstram recalled the incident when Kemar Roof hit Ondrej Kolar in the head with his pins.
However, Frankfurt captain Sebastian Rode was very lucky. Lundstram didn’t hit him with a “full shot” and it was more of a big “scratch”. Thanks to that, he was able to play the entire regular season.
Still, it was a scary picture. There wasn’t a lot of blood. Moreover, Lundstram didn’t even get a yellow card, so the question naturally arose whether such a set meter was a good choice from the referee.
Fortunately, the match didn’t get any worse. There were a few harder tackles, but there was no carnage and Frankfurt managed to win on penalties.
Eintracht captain Rode had a laceration on his head stitched up after the game and later showed off a photo on social media of what it actually looked like. Compared to the Slavs’ Kolář, it is indeed still good.
