Formula 1: Belgian Grand Prix – Information, schedule, stream

Formula 1 moves from the Hungaroring in Hungary to the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium. When will the race take place, what is the schedule and where can you watch the entire race weekend?

The Belgian Grand Prix is the twelfth race in this year’s Formula One Championship. The first World Championship race was held here in 1950. The track itself is 7 kilometres long and traditionally 44 laps are completed on the Spa circuit.

The drivers will cover 308 kilometres during this long race! The holder of the fastest lap is Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas, who clocked 1:46.286 in 2018.

The Spa circuit consists of a total of nineteen corners and offers two DRS zones. But make no mistake, this is a specific and technically very difficult circuit!

Live coverage of the Formula 1 races can be watched on Sport 1 and Sport 2. There will also be internet streams and, last but not least, F1 TV, where you can switch between the onboard cameras of the individual drivers.

Formula 1:: Belgian Grand Prix – programme

The drivers will take to the Spa circuit for the first time on Friday, 27 August, in the opening practice session on Friday. This will be run again in the morning, followed by FP2 at 15:00.

Then, at noon on Saturday, we’ll have the final third practice session, and once the 15th hour has passed, qualifying will get underway in the classic format – Q1, Q2 and Q3. The race is of course scheduled for Sunday. All five lights will then go out at 15:00.
