Florian Wirtz has long been considered one of the greatest talents not only in German football. He managed to work his way into the starting line-up last season and is only just starting to shine in the current one.
In six competitive matches he has scored 5 goals and added 4 assists, which is incredible considering that Wirtz is still only 18 years old and that he is a winger.
It’s only a matter of time before one of the biggest clubs in Europe can buy him out of Leverkusen. In particular, a transfer to Bayern Munich has been widely speculated.
According to the player’s agent and father in one person, however, there is no such threat in the near future. “We don’t know yet what will follow. But Florian definitely wants to develop in Leverkusen for another two years,” Hans-Joachim Wirtz told Bild.
The talented winger is now fully focused on his time at Bayer and his position in the national team. He already has 3 starts for the German senior team.
Wirtz has a contract at Leverkusen until 2026, according to Transfermarkt his value is already at €45 million.
