The Women’s First League had its third round on Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11, respectively. In it, another clear victory was scored by the players of Slavia Prague and Sparta Prague, while the first three points were also scored by the women’s team of Baník Ostrava.
The players of Baník Ostrava had their first three-point afternoon in the third round of the women’s football top competition in a match at Dukla Prague.
In the first round the Ostrava players lost to Sparta Prague 1:8, in the next round against Viktoria Plzeň they did not score a goal and conceded seven.
This is Baník’s first win of the season. The match of the third round between Dukla Praha and Baník was decided in the 53rd minute by only 15-year-old Karolína Krupníková. Thanks to this goal, the Ostrava players moved up to sixth place in the table, the same number of points as fifth-placed Brno and fourth-placed Plzeň.
Dukla and Slovan Liberec are without a single point. The Prague team has not only not scored any points, but has not scored a single goal in three games, while conceding 20.
Liberec’s players have played three evenly matched games, losing to Slavia and Sparta (both 1:3) and losing to Slovácko (1:2) in Wednesday’s match.
They are currently in third place with 9 points. With the same number of points they lead the table of the women’s top competition together with Slavia and Sparta, although with a significantly worse score.
Leading Slavia scored 19 goals and conceded only 2, almost the same score also has Sparta players, who scored only one goal less.
The team from Uherské Hradiště has a score of 7::3 after three rounds played and in contrast to the two Prague teams they are not so dominant. However, they are still very good footballers who should have no problem to stay in the elite group for the title.
