Fiorentina vs. Inter Milan: Preview and betting tips
Inter will take the next step in their quest to defend their title on Tuesday, travelling to the home of the upstart Fiorentina. Only a point separates the two teams, yet the reigning champion is the clear favourite.
Inter will take the next step in their quest to defend their title on Tuesday, travelling to the home of the upstart Fiorentina. Only a point separates the two teams, yet the reigning champion is the clear favourite.
Fiorentina have made an excellent start to the new season. After four rounds, they have nine points and are in a nice fifth place. This is also due to the fact that a week ago they won at Atalanta, a Champions League participant.
Although Inter opened the Champions League group stage with a loss, they are doing well on the league stage. The only two points were lost in a draw with Sampdoria Genoa and after four rounds they are leading Serie A by a score.
After Federico Chiesa, the home side have another talent in their squad for whom they will get good money. Dusan Vlahovic has already scored three times this season, while Giacomo Bonaventura has set up three goals.
Romelu Lukaku has replaced Edin Džeko in Inter’s attack and he’s firing, scoring three goals, as has Argentine Lautaro Martinez. Midfielder Nicolo Barella boasts three goal assists again.
Fiorentina can be said to be the Italian Viktoria Plzen, at least in the sense that all three of their league wins this season have been by a single goal (all 2-1).
Inter is far more productive, averaging 3.75 goals per game, while Bologna has scored six goals.
Given Milan’s offensive momentum, I recommend betting on them to win.
