Fenerbahce took the draw from Ukraine with all ten. Definitely not the brand they were a few years ago, Dynamo are getting into the Champions League on a regular basis.
Dynamo Kiev can’t be satisfied with a goalless draw at home, but they certainly didn’t underestimate their preparations for the preliminary round. They beat Bern, lost and won once against Lyon and fell to Antwerp.
Miha Zajc is worth mentioning on the home side, the Slovenian midfielder scored nine times and assisted four times last season. The spearhead striker Serdar Dursun scored fifteen goals and assisted two.
Viktor Tsygankov is a hot commodity in the away camp, the Ukrainian international scored eleven goals and assisted three times last season. Offensive midfielder Vitaliy Buyalskyi is in a similar position, with nine shots to go with five assists.
Fenerbahce relies on a goal-scoring attack, scoring two or more goals in five of its seven games since the start of preparations.
Dynamo, on the other hand, excels at defending, scoring more than once in only two of their last seven games. It had the best defense in the league last season, averaging 0.5 goals scored per game.
Even though Fenerbahce has worked on their defensive work since the Slavia game, I think Dynamo will at least defend the extra time and therefore not lose. I have faith in the Ukrainian national team who played really well in the World Cup barrage in Qatar in June.
