Mike Tyson was once again the subject of a social uproar when he gave an educational lesson through his fists to a provocative passenger on a plane. The event of course did not go without a reaction in the martial arts world, with UFC President Dana White in particular sharing a really hilarious video.
Mike Tyson slashed a provocative passenger right on the plane
We recently informed you that an unknown man “stung a hornet’s nest” when he was very disrespectful and provoked the scariest man on the planet during a flight with boxing legend Mike Tyson.
After even throwing a water bottle at Tyson, the former heavyweight champion didn’t stand for it and showed the drunken man who he was dealing with. A few punches to the man’s face and he was at peace. Fortunately, according to the police report, the unknown provocateur did not want to blur the situation any further during the subsequent interrogation and did not file a criminal complaint against the former boxer.
Famous faces of the fighting world have expressed their reactions to the incident
The news, of course, spread through the media around the world via video and many people from the fight scene have commented on the incident in their reactions on social media. Below is a selection of the funniest reactions.
Joe Rogan, a charismatic commentator at UFC galas, called the provocateur a fool. “The guy was a lunatic, he was annoying one of the worst lunatics to ever walk the face of the Earth,” Rogan said on a recent episode of his podcast. “It’s so stupid, it’s not even kicking a hive, it’s more like bumping your head into a hive full of wasps,” he added.
Many UFC fighters have also commented on the incident. One of them is heavyweight Ben Rothwell, who complained about the current society and the fact that there are few people like Mike Tyson. “The world needs more Mike Tysons,” he shared his succinct opinion on the matter on his Twitter account.
Brazilian UFC lightweight fighter Thiago Moisés sees the problem with today and the fact that people think they can get away with almost anything. “The problem nowadays is that most people think they can do almost anything without getting hit,” Moisés lamented.
Legendary heavyweight Josh Barnett thinks the unknown man still came out of it well. In his opinion, it could have been much worse. “Just a little pat on the back for being a rude and annoying d**k, ” Barnett said. “Tyson could have really hurt him if he had wanted to, in my opinion he would have gotten away with it,” he warned against such behaviour in public.
Boxing champion Tyson Fury, who defended his WBC world heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte at the weekend, also commented on the situation. “How long are you going to go around poking a lion with a stick,” Fury asked with a comical simile , according to The Sun on TalkTV with Piers Morgan. “He should pay Mike, now he can say he was punched in the face by a legend,” the champion joked. “I’d pay for it myself,” he added.
Dana White brutally trolls would-be provocateurs
But perhaps the most telling response came from Dana White, owner and promoter of the world’s biggest MMA organization. On his Instagram, he shared a candid video of how people should react when they meet someone like Mike Tyson.
“Hey fools, advice for life, this is how you’re supposed to act to survive when you meet Mike Tyson on a plane,” White added a caption to the video. He has probably received the most popularity for his hilarious post.
