Robert Lewandowski is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world. The Polish goal scorer proves it match after match, because it rarely happens that he doesn’t help his team with a goal.
He has scored seven times in the last five games. The only time he did not score was against Borussia Mönchengladbach, who Bayern lost 0:5.
But the Bavarian club’s appetite was fixed three days later, when the Pole scored two goals in the league, beating Union Berlin 5:2. Bayern won the same result on Tuesday.
They won 5-2 against Benfica of Portugal, and Lewandowski was again the standout performer, scoring the opening goal but missing a penalty kick late in the first half.
Lewandowski then added two more goals to complete his hat-trick, which puts him at the top of the scorers’ table with eight goals.
After four wins, Bayern are assured of promotion and it is more than likely to be from the top spot. Second-placed Barcelona has six points and lost 0:3 to Bayern.
