Everton are going through a crisis that few fans remember. They have lost six of their last seven games and have dropped to 15th in the table. They have a five-point cushion on the relegation places.
Arsenal are struggling on the other side of the competition. With a game to spare, it is four points behind fourth-placed West Ham in fifth place, while on the other hand it has a lead of just three points over eighth-placed Wolverhampton.
If anyone has been entertaining Everton fans for a long time, it’s Abdoulaye Doucouré. The central midfielder has scored two goals and assisted four times this season. Demarai Gray boasts a 4+2 record since his transfer from Leverkusen.
Arsenal are led by young offensive midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe, who has scored five times in the league and added two assists. Summer signings Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also doing well.
Everton are struggling in attack, scoring only two goals in their last five games. Arsenal, on the other hand, are conceding a lot of goals, with a 4:7 record in the last three rounds.
Considering Everton’s unproductive attack and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s miserable shooting form, I think two goals at most will fall.
