Even 4 goals weren’t enough for De Bruyne. I’m very disappointed with him, Guardiola joked

The next big battle is in the Premier League. Manchester City are in a tug of war with Liverpool for the league title with two rounds to go. And given the Citizens’ better record, it seems almost a foregone conclusion, as Manchester have a three-point lead and one win could be all they need in the games against West Ham and Aston Villa.
Kevin De Bruyne was the main reason for the increase in the score. First, the Belgian midfielder contributed to the demolition of Newcastle (5: 0) with an assist at the weekend, then on Wednesday he took everything into his own hands.
In 24 minutes he had already scored a hat-trick and in the 60th minute he added a fourth goal. In the 84th minute Sterling added another goal and the Citizens won comfortably 5:1.
But even a four-goal performance might not have been the final one. De Bruyne burned a great chance in the 90th minute and could have scored five goals. And that’s “upsetting” Pep Guardiola.
“Yes, I am very disappointed with him for not scoring the fifth goal,” the Spanish strategist joked at a press conference.
“In the final… what can I say? His second half of the season was more than perfect,” Guardiola added in a serious tone.
The 30-year-old Citizens’ workhorse has 15 goals and seven assists in 28 Premier League games. He scored 2 goals and assisted 4 in the Champions League, has a 1+3 record in the FA Cup and scored once in the EFL Cup. All in all, that makes 19 goals and 14 assists.
