On Thursday, the fourth round of the group stage of the European Cups was completed. Slavia fell to Cluj for the second time, while Slovácko avenged their defeat to Nice in France. How did the other teams play in the Conference and Europa League and how did the Czechs do?

European League

The European League has already announced the first qualifiers for the play-offs, with five clubs securing their place. Fenerbahce and Rennes from Group B, Betis from Group C, San Sebastian celebrating in Group E and Freiburg from Germany in Group G.

Norway’s Bodo Glimt’s loss to Arsenal, Ukraine’s Dynamo Kiev’s loss to Rennes, Cyprus’ Omonia Nicosia’s loss to Manchester United and Olympiakos’ loss in their draw at Karabakh all play for the Czech coefficient.

On the other hand, the wins of Turkish Fenerbahce over Larnaca and Trabzonspor over Monaco are a problem, and Midtjylland’s draw away at Feyenoord Rotterdam is an unpleasant surprise. Among others, Dávid Hancko scored in the match.

Conference league

In the ECL, the Czechs did well. Vladimír Coufal and Tomáš Souček scored in West Ham’s 2-1 win over Anderlecht Brussels, while Antonín Barák scored in Fiorentina’s 5-1 win over Hearts.

The other results did not play too much into the hands of the Czech coefficient. Slovan Bratislava with Yuri Medvedev at least defeated Basel in a 3:3 draw, and Israel’s Hapoel Beer Sheva and Lech Poznan also played to a 1:1 draw.

On the other hand, the wins of Turkish Sivasspor over Balkani and Basaksehir over Riga, Cypriot Apollon over Alkmaar, Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk over Vaduz, Danish Silkeborg over FCSB and Norwegian Molde over Shamrock are not suitable.
