English teams rule the transfer market again. Who can we find in the Top 10?
As usual, the Premier League teams are strengthening the most, with Newcastle, Leeds United and Aston Villa all in the top ten, joining the usual spenders. Only teams like Real Madrid, PSG and Dortmund have pushed their way into it, with 6 new players already signed.

So far, Manchester City have spent the most on their new signings, with Erling Haaland (€60 million) being the most expensive signing and this week they also officially announced the arrival of Kalvin Phillips (€49 million). Thus, Gabriel Jesus, acquired by Arsenal for 52 million euros, moved from the Etihad Stadium.
It is the Gunners who are the second highest spending team so far, 4 new signings cost them 97 million euros. After Jesus, the fans are especially looking forward to Fábio Vieira, who came to London for 35 million euros from Porto.
The third and fourth places are also held by English teams, namely Tottenham (87 million euros) and Liverpool (85 million euros). Then in the ranking we find Real Madrid (80 million euros) and PSG (79 million euros).
Everyone was eagerly awaiting to see what the summer would look like for the Newcastle squad as big signings were expected. However, the management is not luring any stars, but patiently building their new team in the image of Eddie Howe.
So far Newcastle have spent €66 million on three signings (Sven Botman, Matt Targett and Nick Pope). However, more signings can be counted on here. The Magpies are then joined in the top ten by Leeds United (64 million euros) and Aston Villa (54 million euros), with Dortmund (55 million euros) sandwiched in between.
But everyone is eagerly awaiting the outcome of the courtship of Manchester United and Everton, two traditionally spending teams that have been among the best in recent transfer periods. Unfortunately, the results have not matched that.
Everton, in particular, have been in trouble, having only saved their league affiliation in the last few league rounds. Frank Lampard, meanwhile, has had to cope with the departure of Richarlison to Tottenham and the only new acquisition to the team is stopper James Tarkowski, who came on a free transfer from Burnley.
However, the biggest signings are yet to come and the ranking of the ten biggest spending teams will no doubt change a lot!
