England fans once again set the world abuzz with boos during the German national anthem

England v Germany in the Euro 8 final, that should have been a great show. However, something happened at the start of the match that definitely doesn’t belong on football turf. The English fans booed the German anthem, and not for the first time.

One thing is the sporting rivalry that belongs to football. But the other is respect for the opponent, which is absolutely essential. But that has long been lacking from England fans, who demonstrate it at almost every Albion game.

The national anthem before a game is a symbol of pride and honour. Players who have the privilege of hearing this sacred song before their performance remember it for a lifetime.

Unless the experience is spoiled by thousands of booing English fans.

When “Deutschlandlied,” rang out in the stands before the Wembley semi-final, there was deafening booing. And it received a very negative response around the world.

And it’s not the first time England fans have done something like this. In the opening game at Wembley, they booed Croatia’s anthem in the same way.
