Euro semifinal, extra time, their team was up by a goal. You might expect Bukayo Saka and Jack Grealish to be watching the game intently from the bench, but no, they were meeting the female fans in the stands.
Euro semifinal, extra time, their team was up by a goal. You might expect Bukayo Saka and Jack Grealish to be watching the game intently from the bench, but no, they were meeting the female fans in the stands.
Bukayo Saka and Jack Grealish, two inseparable friends who are very close to each other. Both have found themselves nominated for the Euros after successful seasons and both are regulars.
The Arsenal youngster even made the starting line-up against Italy. He was also there for the first goal when he forced Simon Kjær to knock the ball into his own net with a centre.
In the 69th minute, Saka was substituted and it was Grealish who took the field. He had a few bright moments but did not contribute to the 2-1 goal.
In addition, Gareth Southgate pulled him off at half-time and gave Phil Foden a chance instead.
Both friends watched the second half from the bench. And while other players and fans were wondering whether England would hold on to their narrow lead, they found another way to enjoy the end of the final battle.
They chatted to two girls, Saka even taking down the phone number of one of them. As you can tell from the photo of one of the fans in the other stand, the actions of Saka and Grealish also caught the attention of the male fans. Which is shocking given the tension at the end of the game.
