Empoli and AS Roma will play the sixth round of Serie A on Monday. Neither team is satisfied with their current form, but the home team needs to win. What to expect from the match and what to bet on?
Empoli are the Italian king of draws so far. After five games, they have already shared the points four times and are operating above the relegation zone with four points. From fifteenth place, it has a two-point lead on the relegation places.
AS had a good start to the season, but after three wins and a draw they surprisingly lost 0:4 to Udine in the last round. They dropped down to fifth place, but are still only four points behind the first place.
On the home side, the talented striker Martín Satriano is worth mentioning, the Uruguayan international has scored once so far. A lot is also expected from the Romanian Razvan Marin, who is a guest of Cagliari.
Englishman Tammy Abraham has been struggling in the away jersey, last year one of the league’s top scorers scored once and assisted once. Team captain and offensive midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini has three assists.
Empoli is picking up points for draws, but is struggling in attack. They have scored more than once in only one of their last six games.
On the other hand, the Romans are not doing so well away from home, winning only one of their four matches away from home.
Considering Rome’s experienced squad and the Abraham factor, who shot himself out of the wolves countless times last year, I think AS will win on Monday.
