Emotional thanksgiving for the Lionesses! The boys wish each other well, says Suchopárek

The Czech U21 national team also managed to win the second match of the Euro qualification, beating Albania 4:0. What did the head coach Jan Suchopárek say in the interview?
This time the Lions were in control of the match from the first minutes, they didn’t have to knock at the end like against Slovenia. Two big mistakes by Albania’s goalkeeper, among others, helped the team to win 4:0.
“It’s nice that we accomplished what we wanted. To win – and preferably with zero – plus to increase our efficiency in attack. TheAlbanian goalkeeper helped us with that at the beginning of the match,” coach Jan Suchopárek told fotbal.cz.
In the match played in České Budějovice, four different players made their mark, with Viktoria Plzeň midfielder Pavel Šulc breaking the scoring woes.
It was Šulc who unexpectedly did not fit into the starting eleven. A few days ago there were speculations that he could be the captain of the team.
“Pavel was prepared to enter the match only during the match. He had some shooting attempts against Slovenia, but he wasn’t that effective also because he didn’t go into the end zone much, which was our handicap. With one or two players in the back line, we can’t succeed in any game,” the 51-year-old coach said.
The Czechs have a full six points after two qualifying rounds and have yet to score a goal. The atmosphere in the team is good, as the post-match thank-you party shows.
“I’m especially glad that the players who didn’t perform as well as I would have expected against Slovenia scored goals today. I feel that it was good for each other. Those who don’t fit into the nomination for the match are disappointed and it’s hard to accept it, but they create support in the cabin and the atmosphere is great because of that,” Suchopárek is satisfied.
