El Salvador managed a win over Honduras in the last round to keep their hopes of qualifying alive. They have nine points with four games to go and are eight points behind fourth-placed Panama in sixth place.
Canada also improved significantly over the weekend, winning the derby against the USA and securing top spot in the table for the week. They have a four-point lead over second and third place, so their chances of a historic promotion are high.
The hosts rely on Tony Rugamas, the skilful striker is the second top scorer in the North American qualifiers with eight shots. Thirty-one-year-old winger Nelson Bonilla is also performing well.
Canada even has two elite scorers. Winger Cyle Larin of Besiktas has an incredible twelve goals, while forward Jonathan David of Lille has eight. There are also other stars like Alphonso Davies and Junior Hoilett.
El Salvador is struggling in attack, scoring only six goals (in 10 games) in the last stage of the qualification, only Honduras, last in the table, is worse.
Canada’s whole team is doing that. The Maple Leaf has the best offense and attack of the third phase of the qualification with a score of 17::5. In addition, it has scored at least two goals in four of the last five games.
Considering Canada’s form, the euphoria after the win over the USA and the unexpectedly high odds, I recommend betting on Canada to win.
