Eden will host all Nations League matches! How is the public reacting?
Slávist’s home in the form of Eden will get quite a load. The positive fact is that the fans will be introduced to world-class stars in Eden. It is also a great success for the management of Slavia, but on the other hand, the whole thing has its downsides.

On the negative side, there is certainly more work for the turf players, but also an increased load on the playing surface, but in any case the Fortuna League should be finished by now. Another unfortunate fact is that basically all the Czech national team matches will be played in Prague.
However, in the 2022 World Cup qualifying match between the Czech Republic and Belarus, the fans in Ostrava proved to be able to create a very good atmosphere. The question is whether the national team will receive similar support in the capital.
” Best players, best teams, best stadium. We are proud to host the Czech national team in Eden.”
The Czechs made it all the way to the top-performing League A in the UEFA Nations League. In Group A2, they will host the Swiss, Spanish and Portuguese in Eden.
However, the priority for the national team is the barrage for the 2022 World Cup, which will start in Sweden, and we will not play at home even if we reach the final.
If we get past the northerners, we will face the winner of the Russia/Poland duel in the final barrage.
Public reaction
“This is not right for many reasons. 1.) The replay should be for everyone, i.e. not one city, 2.) Not even one stadium (if it’s not the national one), 3.) We’ll tear up the turf, Of course it will suit LN Eden, but…”
“They should have put one game in Moravia. People will come to see it there.”
“I’m just wondering what’s going to happen with the nominations for the games in June. Because if they’re going to play the same guys for the second year without a proper holiday, I don’t envy them. Soucek had 68 games last calendar year, Kalas had 61, etc. Last year after the Euros they were almost without a summer off. PL and most of the leagues end on 22.5. So if the players get a day off after the quadruple header (13.6), they will have 14 days off again (max 3 weeks). Previously, in that June date, they used to play against easy opponents and play some league selection and less busy players. So I am very curious.”
