Massimiliano Allegri didn’t have a very good season after his return to Juventus as his charges managed to finish only fourth. One of the problems was the unproductive Paulo Dybala, who after seven seasons in Turin decided to head elsewhere to find himself.

There are indeed many problems for the experienced Italian coach to solve. However, last season, it was mostly in attack, which scored just 57 goals in Serie A. That is only the 11th best result in the Italian top flight.

Dybala was the top scorer then, but his 10 goals are certainly nothing to brag about. However, Álvaro Morata did not fare as well, scoring only 9 goals all season.

That’s also why this year Dusan Vlahovic arrived for just under €82 million, who scored a total of 24 goals in Serie A for the 2021/22 season, but only 7 goals in a Juventus jersey for the spring, having failed to significantly lift the poor performances of the whole team.

So Allegri, who has already celebrated 5 league titles in a row with Juventus, now has a lot of work to do in the summer. However, as he himself hinted in an interview with DAZN, it’s not that they need to make any major signings, but rather work on the mentality of the players, who need to bring back the necessary confidence and winning mentality.

But that will no longer be the case with what was previously one of the biggest talents in the world, who was predicted to follow in the footsteps of Lionel Messi, which seems to have gone to his head more than is healthy.

“Dybala needs to go back and start being himself. There was a moment in his life when he was worried about being the new Messi. You cannot imitate someone else. Paulo has a lot to give to football, he has amazing technical qualities, but he needs to go back and focus on himself,” Allegri said of the Argentine striker.

the 28-year-old, who has played alongside both Ronaldo and Messi, will thus be looking for a new team in his prime, where he can finally show what is undoubtedly hidden within him.
