David Dvorak is preparing for his fourth fight in the UFC. The native of Hradec Kralove will face Brazilian Matheus Nicolau on March 26, who, like Dvorak, is not used to losing. What did the Czech say before his departure to the USA?
Twenty-nine year old MMA fighter David Dvorak flew to the USA, more precisely to Columbus, where he will compete at UFC on ESPN 33.
It will be his fourth fight under this organization, he won the previous three and would like to get close to a title shot in the flyweight division again. His opponent will be Brazilian Matheus Nicolau, the same age.
He’s been fighting in the UFC since 2015, winning five fights and walking away defeated once in that time. His overall record is 17::2::1, while Dvorak is 20::3 and last lost in 2012.
How is his preparation for the fight going at the moment? “Health-wise everything is fine, I don’t have to simulate a better gait anymore, so in that sense it’s great. I’ve had camps, I’ve been to America, Poland.
After the Czech Republic I was in Top Atlet, with Honza Stach in Swag, I trained in All Sports Academy, we are ready,” he said in an interview with Kaocko.cz.
Dvorak would like to move up in the rankings to get closer to a title shot. If he wins, he could move up to eighth and then closer to the top five.
“Whoever is in the top five, there is a chance to go for the title. If we’re in the top five, the top three will be there. Then there is a chance for the title match,” he added.
