Dvorak talks about his future in the UFC: I have to fight for a new contract, I have to win next time. What does he say about returning to the Octagon?

David Dvorak is coming off his sixth fight in the UFC, in which he unfortunately picked up his third loss in a row. He has now spoken out about his situation and future and revealed his plans and goals for the coming months and years.

One of the Czech Republic’s best UFC prospects is in a sticky situation. David Dvorak lost his third fight in a row and was beaten on points by Steve Erceg, a newcomer to the organization, knocking Hrobar out of the top ten rankings.

Three losses are a problem in a fighter’s career. Especially in a top organization like the UFC. So what’s next? “I’m still under contract for one more fight. My future is 50-50. Of course, the UFC could fire me, because who doesn’t win has no business being here. It’s a tough business,” he expressed in his stream.

Dvorak believes that he has been putting on good fights in the UFC and the fact that he has been taking all his fights and leaving it all on the line in all his fights could also play into his hands.

“I would have died in those fights. I don’t care if something is breaking, tearing, I’m getting bombed. As long as the fight isn’t over, I go for the win at any cost. A lot of guys would probably let that go. That can also make an impression,” said the Czech fighter.

He would like to have another and therefore crucial fight later this year. He mentioned tournaments in October, but he still has to discuss everything with his coaches. He intends to close himself in the gym and work hard.

Dvorak is confident even after the losses. He thinks he can fight in the UFC and compete with the world’s elite. He’s going to prove it in his next fight. He wants to be the best and sees Brandon Moreno, the current champion of his weight class who was even kicked out of the UFC, as a great example that he is definitely not a write-off.

And if he couldn’t stay in the UFC? He doesn’t see a return to the Octagon as an option. He says he’s not interesting enough for the Czechoslovakian brand, as he doesn’t do shakes and goes his own way.

He wants to fight for another five years, he would like to stay in the UFC. He definitely wouldn’t turn down an offer from ONE FC, PFL or Bellator, but a return to Europe is clearly not appealing to him for now, although he believes that some superfights could be arranged in the Octagon or KSW as well.
