David Dvořák found a humiliator after almost ten years. The Hořice native lost to Matheus Nicolau on points and his move to the UFC’s top five has been delayed. What did he say after his defeat?
He won 16 fights in a row, he hasn’t known the feeling of defeat for ten years. Twenty-nine-year-old David Dvorak, however, had to bow out to Matheus Nicolau on Saturday night.
The latter defeated him in a close fight on points after a second round in which he faltered badly. What did he say after the fight?
“We got the fight over, unfortunately it didn’t work out but we left everything out there. I did my best to make sure we won and I think it showed.
I’m sorry I didn’t win, but that’s the way it is. Thank you so much for cheering me on, for watching the game and for continuing to watch us and there will be many more great games to come,” he told fans on Instagram.
It’s not a big tragedy for Dvorak, his opponent was very good and he was ahead of him in the rankings. Now he will certainly not have a more difficult opponent.
However, moving into the UFC’s top five is delayed, Dvorak will have to work hard to get close again.
