David Dvorak is preparing for his fourth fight in the UFC. It will take place on March 26th in Columbus, USA. What does the Czech fighter expect from his opponent and what will a win mean for him?
Three fights, three wins. David Dvorak has never lost in the UFC, thanks to which he has been undefeated for 10 years. He will be looking to improve on his 20-3 record at the end of March when he takes on Brazilian fighter Matheus Nicolau.
“He’s a very skilled and complex fighter, he can stand and ground. It’s a huge challenge for me and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s hard to say what the fight will definitely be. Maybe who will want to win more. I think we’re very similar, but I already know the result and I’m going for it,” Dvorak said.
The Czech fighter still has to finish his preparation in the Czech Republic, then he will fly to the United States where he will acclimatize and prepare to go for the win.
The fight will take place at a tournament in Columbus, USA, with spectators. “The UFC even gave me tickets. There should be something between 20 and 25 thousand spectators,” revealed Dvorak, who can look forward to a great atmosphere after a long time.
Dvorak’s last appearance in the cage was last May when he defeated Juancamil Ronderos by one-arm choke. He is currently ranked number ten in the flyweight rankings, a win would understandably shoot him up the rankings.
“If I beat Matheus, which we are confident of, he will be at least eighth in the rankings. It’s a stone’s throw to the top 5 and there it’s close to the title,” believes the Czech fighter.
