Dvorak has an opponent for the last fight of his UFC contract! He will face a young Japanese fighter who has a 14:0 record
David Dvorak has his last fight under contract in the UFC. If he fails to win, he will be out of the organization and will have to figure out what to do next. We now know his next opponent, and it’s certainly not like the UFC is going to make anything easy for him.

The story of David Dvorak in the UFC is quite interesting. He did win his first three fights and was slowly approaching a title shot, but just when it seemed like the organization might make his plans come true after another win, he fell on points.
Dvorak fell to Matheus Nicolau last spring, and fell to Manel Kapp and Steve Erceg in the same fashion. He now has one last fight left on his contract and it’s clear that he’ll only get a chance at an extension if he wins.
Even that doesn’t guarantee him anything and so he has to win after an attractive fight and a good performance. So it was only a matter of waiting to see who he would fight for the contract and Dvorak arranged a fight with Malcolm Gordon, who agreed, but in the end everything is different.
It is officially clear that the opponent of the Czech fighter will be Tatsuro Taira. The 23-year-old Japanese fighter is aiming for a UFC title and currently has a 14:0 record, having won four times in the UFC.
The scores already suggest that the organization has decided to give him a proper challenge to show if he’s even up to it anymore. Their fight will take place on October 14 at UFC Vegas 81.
“Right now I’m currently three three, with three losses in a row unfortunately, which is pretty annoying. If I don’t win, that’s a definite ending, but I don’t want to admit that yet.
I’m confident of being up there with them and I’ll do my best. I know I can measure up to these guys, even though it doesn’t look like it right now, but I want to be there and I want to keep going,” Dvorak admitted during his livestream a few weeks ago.
