In the 13th round, Arsenal London welcomed the last Premier League team Newcastle United, which was recently bought by rich investors from Saudi Arabia. We didn’t see a goal in the first half, but there were some interesting chances.

Arsenal definitely wanted to get a good result at home and keep the three points at home. Last Newcastle wanted to try and grab some points to help them save.

In the 20th minute, Martin Dúbravka made a great save from a direct kick that Odegaard headed into the top corner of the net. After half an hour of play, Newcastle threatened when Shelvey hit the crossbar.

The most exciting moments came after the 40th minute. Bukayo Saka centred into the box where an unguarded Emile Smith Rowe jumped on the ball. Arsenal fans were about to celebrate the first goal of the match, but their joy was thwarted by the opposing goalkeeper.

Dúbravka pulled off a fantastic save to keep out a dangerous header. But that wasn’t all. The ball bounced to Aubameyang, who was also unguarded. Auba had Dúbravka in front of him, who was on the ground. So there was nothing stopping him from finishing into the open net.

But then came the collapse. The Arsenal captain and star striker hit the bar from close range.

The first half ended without a goal. There was joy almost an hour into the game when Bukayo Saka scored after a clearance from Tavares to put Arsenal 1-0 up.
