The Bundesliga is here! Already the first round offers excellent matches. On Saturday, Borussia Dortmund will take on Bayer Leverkusen, where Patrik Schick shines and Adam Hložek will also want to shine. What to expect from these top teams and what to bet on?

The two ambitious clubs will face each other in the first round of the Bundesliga. Dortmund wants to finally take the title, Leverkusen is aiming for second place. Now they will face a clash that may give a clue as to what to expect from both teams.

One would like to say that neither club has weakened significantly, quite the opposite. However, the loss of Haaland will certainly trouble Dortmund. Even more so when his replacement in Sebastien Haller will be missing for some time due to a tumour.

Overall, it is worth noting that Dortmund will not go into the first game with the strongest possible lineup. In fact, new coach Edin Terzic will not have new signing Niklas Süle at his disposal, while Özcan has also been plagued by injury.

Leverkusen can enter the season in peace. Of the players who would certainly play in the starting line-up, only the long-term injured Florian Wirtz is missing, who will start to get involved in the game during the autumn.

As far as pre-season preparation is concerned, neither team did very well. Dortmund played six friendlies and won only three times, and against teams from lower divisions. They lost to Valencia and Villarreal, and drew with Antalyaspor.

Leverkusen played four friendlies and won two. They defeated Udinese and Duisburg, Bayer drew with Panathinaikos and lost to Toluca of Mexico at the start of their preparations.

Both teams have already played a competitive match. While Borussia handled Munich in the third league, Leverkusen couldn’t beat the newcomer to the third competition (Elversberg), although Patrik Schick and Adam Hložek both made their mark.

We can expect an even but mainly goal-oriented match, which will definitely not end in a draw. The last one was in December 2017. Since then, nine matches have always had a winner.

In all of these matches, many goals have been scored. With the exception of one three-goal game, there have always been at least four goals. And it will be no different now.
