Dortmund has acquired Kamara! He’s a great talent, me get my hands on Borussia

Borussia Dortmund have not been very active in the transfer market this summer. It has brought in only three players so far, two of them aged 16 and 17 respectively. One of them is the latest new acquisition Abdoulaye Kamara.

The Westphalian side has not had an ideal season, yet there is no massive strengthening. On the contrary. Jadon Sancho is on his way out and Lukasz Piszczek has retired.

And as for new reinforcements? Borussia want to bring in Donyell Malen from PSV Eindhoven to replace Jadon Sancho, but a deal is far from being done.

So the club has only officially brought in three players. First of all, 23-year-old goalkeeper Gregor Kobel from Stuttgart has arrived, but otherwise only two teenagers have arrived.

Dortmund recently brought 17-year-old stopper Soumai Coulibaly from PSG’s youth team. Now the club has completed the arrival of 16-year-old Abdoulaye Kamara.

Like Coulibaly, Kamara plays in the centre of defence, but he can easily fill the position of defensive midfielder.

“Abdoulaye is a very talented and still very young player who recently trained regularly with the professionals in Paris. We hope that he will now develop accordingly among the adults and take the next step,” let Sebastian Kehl, a member of the Borussia Dortmund board, be heard.
