Doom! Slavia’s unlucky match decided by two individual mistakes
Slavia failed to win the first match of the Champions League qualification, losing 2:0 to Ferencváros. The goals were scored after two defensive mistakes, first Ondřej Kolář failed to handle the ball, then Taras Kacharaba fouled in the penalty area.

The Slavs were clearly more active in the beginning, but in the final phase they rushed several times, which led to unnecessary losses. Only in the 20th minute Nicolae Stanciu shot from a direct kick, but the home goalkeeper had no problem to catch the ball.
The Romanian midfielder also took a dangerous shot in the 29th minute, but Dénes Dibusz made an excellent save. Ferencváros responded in the 40th minute, but Ryan Mmaee missed in a good position.
In the 44th minute, the home side took the lead, Ondrej Kolář failed to convert a little home and Taras Kacharaba scored an own goal. The game was 1: 0.
The second half opened with a foul by Kacharaba, after which a penalty was whistled. The ball was taken by Ihor Kharatin and he was lucky to shoot the ball past Kolar.
Mmaee could have added a third goal, but Kolář saved it. In the 71st minute, Ivan Schranz had to make a save, but the home goalkeeper confirmed his good form.
In the 77th minute, Alexander Bah hit the left post, confirming the bad luck of the Slavs in this match. No more goals were scored in the end and the match ended 2: 0 for Ferencváros.
