The tennis tournament in Doha is slowly coming to an end. On Thursday, we will see the quarter-final battles, one of which will be between Dominic Thiem and Roberto Bautista-Agut. Who will be happy to advance?
Dominic Thiem is a 27-year-old Austrian tennis player who is ranked fourth on the ATP rankings. Although clay is his favourite surface, he has also improved on hard surfaces in recent years.
In 2021, he was able to take on Kyrgios, Paier and Koepfer. In the first round of the tournament he defeated Karatsev, a semi-finalist of this year’s Australian Open.
On Thursday, his opponent will be Roberto Bautista-Agut, who has been a professional tennis player since 2005. The thirty-two-year-old Spaniard is currently ranked thirteenth on the ATP rankings.
Since the beginning of January, Bautista-Agut has already played eleven matches with a record of six wins and five losses. His greatest success came in Marseille, where he reached the final.
So what to bet on? The paper favourite is Dominic Thiem. He is 2-3 in the stats of their matches, but his last loss dates back to 2015. The Austrian has dominated the last two meetings.
However, Roberto Bautista-Agut will definitely not be an easy opponent and the match could be decided by just small things. Thus, I recommend odds of 1.90 on the fact that there will be at least 23 games.
