Sabonis had another triple-double

In the Memphis Grizzlies vs Sacramento Kings (92:123) the son of the famous father Arvydas Sabonis had another great performance. Domantas does honor to his last name by supporting another Kings victory with his sixth triple-double of the season.

This time he loaded the Memphis basket with just 13 points, but he helped his team significantly in the undercourt area, rebounding 21 balls and encouraging his teammates to score with 12 assists. It is already his 38th career triple-double. He is already slowly closing in on 11th man on the history charts, Fat Lever, who has managed 43 in his career.

With six triple-doubles in the current season, the Lithuanian-American is tied for second place with Slovenian Mavericks star Luka Doncic. The standings are led by Serbian two-time league MVP Nikola Jokic, who has already notched 11 triple-doubles on the season.

Trae Young excelled again

In the Washington Wizards vs. Atlanta Hawks (126:130), the Wizards were defeated again. Together with the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs, they are one of the worst teams in the league.

Kyle Kuzma had a great performance on the home floor, scoring a season-high 38 points and making seven three-point attempts. However, the Hawks star Trae Young was up against it, once again scoring double figures in points and assists.

In this game, he loaded the Wizards’ basket with 40 points and also recorded 13 accurate passes for his teammates again. The only thing that didn’t work out for him in this game was his lousy free throw conversion rate, which was at just 50%.

However, another great performance gave a reminder of Oscar Robertson’s recent tied record. That was when he managed to score double-digit points and assists in seven straight games. With 338 assists on the season, he is second only to Indiana Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton, who has 19 more so far.
