Does Procházka know who he will fight for the title? Blachowicz speaks out, takes fight with Pereira personally

The UFC will offer the biggest tournament of the year so far on paper this weekend. Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje will be the main event, but the Czech crowd is more curious about the fight between Jan Blachowicz and Alex Pereira. The winner could fight for the title with Jiri Prochazka, which the Polish fighter also said.

On the night of Saturday to Sunday, we will see the UFC 291 gala featuring Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, Tony Ferguson or Jan Blachowicz and Alex Pereira, who can come much closer to a title shot.

For Blachowicz, a fight with Pereira is made even a little more special since the Brazilian is the ward of Glover Teixeira, the man who robbed him of his welterweight championship belt.

He will be looking to show his power against Pereira and his fearsome left hook. He intends to welcome the Brazilian with all the pomp and circumstance of his debut in the welterweight division. While he admits that Pereira will definitely have a knockout punch in his division as well, he’s nevertheless determined to try and wage a stand-up war with him.

If it doesn’t go to plan, he has a clear goal. To use his wrestling and get him to the ground. Blachowicz has his motivation taken care of. He wants the title back that Teixeira took from him.

The welterweight division is now without a champion. Jamahal Hill has given up the belt after tearing his Achilles. Jiri Prochazka is waiting for an opponent and it should be the winner of Blachowicz vs Pereira.

“The UFC told me that there will be another title fight after this fight, so nothing has changed. I wish Hill a speedy recovery, but my next opponent will probably be Jiri Prochazka, with whom we will fight for the title,” Blachowicz concluded the topic.
