Do we train so little?! Laporta is disillusioned with Barcelona’s small training doses
Barcelona president Joan Laporta is not having the best of times right now. His team is not doing well on the domestic scene or in Europe, and now he has learned about the small training doses that coach Ronald Koeman is giving the squad.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta is not having the best of times right now. His team is not doing well on the domestic scene or in Europe, and now he has learned about the small training doses that coach Ronald Koeman is giving the squad.
Joan Laporta is not happy with his Barcelona’s game performance and is trying to find the reason for the poor form. And it seems that the president of the Catalan club has indeed arrived at something.
In his opinion, the club is not training enough and not of good quality. According to the Spanish media, Laporta has discovered that his club trains on average four hours less than its Spanish league rivals.
In addition, the quality of the team is also lagging behind the others. It has come to light that before the Champions League match against Benfica, coach Ronald Koeman did not practice the 3-5-2 formation that Barcelona used to start the match.
Barcelona then lost the match ignominiously 0:3.
What’s more, Ronald Koeman was absent from some training sessions altogether. Laporta doesn’t like that either, and that may end up tripping Koeman up.
Laporta is looking around for new coaches to replace Koeman on the Barcelona bench. According to current information, Xavi, Roberto Martínez, Andrea Pirlo and Marcelo Gallardo have been contacted so far.
