Disappointing! Slavia will have to do without fans in Hungary

On Thursday afternoon, Slavia Prague released information about the first match of the Champions League qualification on Hungarian soil. However, it didn’t please its fans too much.

Big inconvenience! On August 4, Ferencváros and Slavia Prague will play the first match of the third preliminary round of the Champions League against each other. However, without the participation of the fans of the Susians.

This is because for all Champions League qualification matches, the visiting club will not get the usual 5% of stadium capacity. The ban is related to the current situation of the coronavirus pandemic in the Czech Republic and other European countries.

Slavie fans are thus rightly disappointed. After all, in Hungary recently at the Euros the stands could have been completely full, which understandably made all the supporters unhappy.

So the Prague club urged fans on its website not to travel to the match. “We look forward to your support in the home return leg in Eden,” the appeal reads.

Slavia, however, is counting on the fact that not all fans will obey the appeal, which is why the club announced that there will be a staff member dedicated to communicating with fans, whom fans will be able to contact.

“If a fan happens to be in Budapest and happens to be at the stadium during the match, the SLO of Slavia will be present on the spot. However, they cannot arrange tickets,” Slavia tells the fans.

Of course, many people immediately admitted in the comments that they will definitely go to Hungary. Even a few Ferencváros fans are urging them to do so.
