Portuguese star Rafael Leao is proving this season that his performances last season were no fluke. The 23-year-old AC Milan gem proved his qualities on Tuesday against Dinamo Zagreb.
If anyone really had the lion’s share in AC Milan’s title run last season after eleven years, it was Rafael Leao. He scored important goals, he was able to take charge at key moments.
He finally started to fully repay the €30 million the Rossoneri paid for him to French side Lille in the summer of 2019. And he continues his great performances in the new season, where he is once again one of the driving forces of the Milan giant.
His value has climbed to a handsome €70 million, with other European big clubs also interested in him. AC Milan want to keep him at all costs and on Tuesday the club’s management could once again see why.
In the Champions League, the Rossoneri played Dinamo Zagreb and from the beginning confirmed their role as the favourite. The first goal was scored by defender Matteo Gabbia in the 39th minute.
However, the goal by Leo is particularly noteworthy. He proved that he has dribbling skills of an excellent level and made skittles out of the Croatian champion’s players when he went through more than half of the field like a knife through hot butter.
