Diego Simeone: Griezmann is back on top

With Antoine Griezmann back in the Spanish capital, Atlético Madrid are thriving and if they continue to do so, we could see them defend their title from last season. Currently, coach Diego Simeone’s team is in 4th place after 11 rounds played, 3 points behind leaders Real Sociedad.

Atlético defeated Real Betis 3-0 in Sunday’s match. Currently, Simeone’s charges are in a very good starting position in La Liga, with the second big favourite to win the title (Real Madrid) only two points away.

Atlético’s good performance was also helped by the French canon, who was praised by Simeone in the post-match interview.
