Did Cverna forget about the IAF match? I have never experienced this in my career, said Pino Ondrus. Where is the truth?
Alex Cverna has built a rather funny case. After the defeat in France he outlined that he had forgotten about the IAF match, which of course could not be true. Now the promoter of the organization has reacted to his words and got a quick answer.

If we were looking for the oldest MMA fighter on the domestic scene, it would probably be difficult to find anyone other than Alex Cverna. He has consistently shown that even at his advanced age he can keep up.
But now he has created a cause that can’t be taken with anything but humor. At least from the outside, as promoter Petr Pino Ondrus seems to be not happy about what happened.
Cverna fought in a French organization and then said he was supposed to fight in an IAF tournament but forgot about it. Ondruš didn’t take the news well and reacted.
“I would like to laugh with you about how Alex forgot about the title fight we promoted together last week at One Club. He told Zhen right to his face that he was going to shut him down with his right hand, that he wanted to fight him standing.
That he was looking forward to taking the heavyweight title from him in the fight. I think we’ll see another nice statement soon. At least I’m personally really quite interested. Because in my career I’ve never seen a fighter forget such an important thing. But things happen. We learn all our lives,” he said on Instagram.
Cverna later explained the situation
Cverna didn’t like that people were making fun of him and decided to set the record straight. After all, he apparently didn’t forget that he was supposed to have a title fight in the IAF, but his contract in the FNC doesn’t allow him to wrestle elsewhere.
“Of course I didn’t forget about any fight. I wanted to say that the Slovak Fight Night Challenge organization remembered me before I left for Holland. They called me and told me that they didn’t want me to fight on November 11th, because I have a boxing fight with them on December 2nd. That’s it,” he added.
